Early Prototype Transparent Smartphone Featured In Hands On Video

Transparent smartphone,

We don’t know why anyone would want a full transparent smartphone but it seems some companies (like Polytron which made this) are bent on making this happen. Here’s a look into the current state of the technology which may one day power a transparent smartphone. This device is a prototype featured in this hands on video by Mobile Geeks.

It’s actually possible and does exist. This is not real though considering there is nothing on there to back light the screen making it impossible to see.

When I was taking material science engineering courses our professor was developing flexible displays for the military out of oleds. We got to take a tour of his lab and they had all kinds of stuff like this. It was pretty sweet. Who knows when it will hit the market but when it does it will be mind blowing.

but if you really pay a close attention, the person who’s introducing it in the video is either American or English. He said the phone will be coming from Taiwan, and I don’t think he just saying that to promote Taiwan technology !! It might be true that Taiwan is inventing it, otherwise he could have said to promote his own country.

    • He should have said it is coming from Japan, it would be so much more techlicious 🙂

      • Jon

        TAIWAN IS BETTAH!!!! SUCKAH!!!!
