Every time I hear that there is an iPod killer out in the wild I reserve my conclusions until I get to see it my self because there has been so many of them announced and not one has yet to eat an Apple. This time Meizu might not cover the market like a real iPod killer due to its ”only China for now” goals but they certainly did beat the iPod in terms of funcionality of their miniPlayer. It measures a nano-like 79 x 48.2 x 10mm, large 2.4 Screen and comes in 512MB ($87) or 4G ($200) flash memory.
It also has the option to be black or white and has a navigation menu very much like the iPod. Features a microphone, FM radio, support for MP3, WAV, Ogg and WMA, it can even play Xvid video files and a good 20 hours of battery life for audio and up to six hours for video. The only sad thing for us is that for now their menu is not in English and good luck getting on if you are not somewhere in China. MEIZU’s WebSite
