Scientists Devise Way To Control Levitated Discs

magnetic levitation, experiments, light, graphite

Scientists from the Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan have devised a way to control magnetically-levitated discs using only light. The takeaway from this new development is using lasers and any other source of light to control a levitated graphite disc. The technology could be the first step in developing hoverboards or solar-powered turbines that convert the sun’s energy to electrical energy. And if you don’t believe yet in the power of Graphite, check out this article that we posted few days ago “Supercapacitor Graphite – Discovery that will change our lives“.
