U.S Army to Deploy ‘FORCE FIELD’ in Iraq

The US Army is planning on deploying an invisible Force Field system. Called the Trophy Active Defense System ( ADS ) it disables incoming RPG rounds and ther low tech munitions. It provides a dome of protection around a vehicle. When it detecets an incoming missile, it throws a beam of fragments at it which causes the missile to explode in air. It is capable of taking on more than one missile simultaneously. With that kind of technology and the Anti-Sniper tech it all gives the illusion that war is more acceptable… VIDEO –>

*sigh* I saw this a couple of days ago, and this is no “force field”. People should know better than to use military propaganda words. Besides, it’s just fox news. They are just hyping up the technology.

I think it is kind of cool dont think of it as a stupid thing it will save alot of ours soilders people are always complaining on how our soilders are dieing and then when we use new tacktics they complain too.

well… first of all – I’ve read about this system – it is very heavy – so it can’t be mounted NOT on tanks. Second – if you read more about guerilla anti-tank tactix (which I have) – tanks are usually destroyed being fired from several locations simultaneously – say 3 or 4 – to be sure the active defense systems (ADS) go down.
Helicopters are even easier to bring down so forget it – our (Russian) cheap technologies will always outperform the US or Israeli (at this point) technologies – they are just too simple as everything genious is.

but i have done some reading on this too and it can take out several targets at once and that most likely includes 3-4 missles and once agian and apache could not be taken down easily , especialy with the ADS and this feed could be old by now and it could be widely updated to something more
