Remember that image of earth and it’s water and air made into spheres to compare them with the size of the planet. Well here is a new image but this time it features Jupiter’s Moon Europa along with its water. Notice anything interesting? I always wondered where earth’s water really came from. I am not talking about the water cycle, everyone knows the physical processes of evaporation, condensation, precipitation. But the real question of where does water come from? How does water form in the first place? What processes made our planet rich in water? And if our surface is currently 70% water, even with the ice melted and clouds drained; are we gaining in water molecules or are we losing water? And if so, how does that process happen? Turns out, there is no real answer.
