# F22 Raptor &#8211; fastest and highest JDAM delivery ever

Lockheed Martin, Boeing and the USAF have acheived another milestone as the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor air dominance fighter destroyed a small ground target in the F-22’s fastest and highest JDAM delivery yet. Flying at 1.5 times speed of sound (1.5 mach – 1142 miles per hours) and at an altitude of 50,000 feet, the raptor released a 1000 pound JDAM that destroyed a target 27.5 miles away. This increases the survival rate for the pilots and decreases detection risks.  To understand what JDAM is watch the second video.
