# General Atomics Railgun Test 2013

General Atomics has a very interesting railgun and it just got tested this year. The projectile flew 7 km downrange AFTER passing through an armor plate at 100 meters, with zero elevation. Gives you an idea just how fast it was going at the muzzle (~1700 m/s).
