# Pretty People Are Hard to Remember

New studies are showing that the more symmetrical a person’s face is, the less likely you’ll recognize that person if you see them again. More plainly, the more attractive a face is, the less likely you’ll remember it. Trace explains how the human brain gets bored with symmetry, and how it loves to seek out and remember uniqueness! And if I may add, I have experienced this myself, I always wondered how come I can remember certain faces better than others. I find that I always have a hard time remembering beautiful women’s faces more than men. Maybe it has to do something with mating. Perhaps a pretty face is hard for us to remember so that we don’t get bored of them and want to stay close to them for longer hence have a better chance to mate.
