# Really Complicated Gears – Paradoxal Gears

A normal gear that you see in a clock is very simple to understand but these gears I still cannot get my head around them. What would be the advantage of having gears like this in a modern machine? I have no idea…One of the videos shows paradoxal gears which are side by side and turn in the same direction, very hard to understand…
