# Turning Plant Matter Into Renewable Oils

A Calif. laboratory is turning what appears to be ordinary pond scum into a new source of renewable energy. The is not new but it  has caught on so quickly that the U.S. Military has ordered 150,000 gallons of ship and jet fuel from the lab.
