Mars Odyssey discovered ice on Mars six years ago but it is only now that we are able to touch it with the Pheonix Lander since it has successfully scooped up a Martian water ice sample. What does that mean for you and me? Well, it simply means that if the closest planet we have to us has water then it is foolish to assume that no other planet in the universe is able to host life.
