Lockheed’s HULC Exoskeleton is Stealthy, Enables Soldiers to Easily Carry 200-Pounds for Over 12-Miles

The Lockheed Martin’s HULC (Human Universal Load Carrier) is an untethered, battery-powered, hydraulic-actuated anthropomorphic exoskeleton. And it gives the wearer super-human abilities.

Lockheed’s latest model is capable of heavy upper-body lifting with minimal human exertion. It is designed to transfer the weight from heavy loads to the ground through the robotic legs of the lower-body exoskeleton.

Advanced micro-computer ensures that the device moves in sync with the operator. Thanks to the ruggedized structure that allows for rapid, repeatable adjustments to the torso and thigh length and the improved control software, it takes less time for the operator to adapt to the suit.
