Presented by National Geographic this is a scientific measurement of martial arts abilities. Can a ninja stop your heart with a single punch? Is a ninja’s punch more powerful than a muay thai kick? What is going on when the pressure points are hit? VIDEO->
Wow i wonder how hard i hit iv been doing martial arts for years…..
Human body has huge potential, but life span is only so long to develop a small portion of it. Nowdays being a martial art master gets you money, but you can’t beat-up (read: kill in many cool ways) anybody that threatens you… after 10 self-defence claims there will be some questions.
Being able to kill is great, but wouldn’t preventing that be a better time usage?
Post more of these…!!!
Love them..
I like your comment Kal 🙂
I will try to post some more, I only placed the ones i thought that were interesting. If you guys find some other ones that you like, please feel free to leave the links here and I will try my best to post them.
Cheers,
I liked those videos but the brick breaking one where they compare the sledgehammer hit to the elbow strike, the guy with the sledgehammer didn’t really put any effort into it at all. Thats probably a 5 – 10lb hammer and the guy shouldn’t have had any difficulties with it, yet he swung it so slowly – and even then it was only a 3/4 swing to boot! I guess he didn’t want to make his buddy look bad with the elbow strike 🙂
Also the makers of these videos seem to greatly underestimate the skeletal strength of the average person. They should have brought in an osteologist to show the incredibly wide variation of bone density in the general population. There are many people out there who were born with very weak bone structure, just as there are many people whose natural bone structure is even stronger than those of those 2 brick breakers, and they didn’t have to spend decades toughening themselves up – imagine what they could do if they spent that kind of time in training 🙂
Definitely an interesting series..
I tried to watch these videos, but the hyper-active dude with the go-tee seemed like an annoying douche.
