The UH-19XRW Hoverwing not only glides over land and water, but it also soars in the air with up to 70 mph.
A 130hp turbocharged twin-cylinder engine drives its 60″ wood/carbon composite thrust propeller. And a 1,100-rpm 34″ lift fan inflates its durable vinyl-coated nylon skirt for hovering above the ground.
The three vertical rudders and the elevator are controlled with a joystick. Braking is provided by lowering the lift fan’s RPMs. The vehicle comes to rest on Kevlar composite landing skids.
Its low center of gravity and composite fiberglass/PVC hull enable it to operate in winds up to 25 mph and waves up to 6′ when in flight. Most importantly, it has two nine-gallon gasoline tanks that provide a 160-mile range.
Powered by a 4-cylinder automotive engine, the UH-18SP is everything you’d ever want in a hovercraft. It was designed for people who love to play.
For the family that gets together for fishing, skiing, cruising and all-around fun, this is your vehicle. The UH-18SP will take you places other craft have never been.
Convert your UH-18SP hovercraft into the 18SPW Hoverwing in less than twenty minutes and fly up to 10 feet high over waves, rocks, beaches and fields in ground effect.
The wings roll up and can be stored aboard the craft for easy transportation and rapid deployment. Ground effect hovercraft operates over any terrain while cruising at an altitude of 4 to 12 feet.
