World’s longest and most expensive railway tunnel, Gotthard Base Tunnel

ZURICH — The world’s longest and most expensive railway tunnel opens on Wednesday in Switzerland.

The Gotthard Base Tunnel originates in Erstfeld in the canton of Uri and ends in Bodio in the canton of Tessin.
