I have no idea how efficient this is but this is what the manufacturer says: The Dekra D-Drive uses a drive shaft to transmit power from the bike pedals to the rear wheel. How is that new? I’ve seen bicycles from old bike/motorcycle shows from the 20’s with that setup.
I got some pretty bad sources 🙂
Motorcycles are moving to belt drives.
There lighter and have much less maintanence than even this.
Its still cool. Shaft drives do tend to be smoother even on bicycles. I have not seen any with gears though. Do they exist?
