3D Printer With Sand and Solar Energy


3D printers are pretty common now days. However, they become less common as soon as you add certain criteria such as printing with solar rays and using materials such as sand. That is what Markus Kayser has done in his Solar Sinter Project. He made something out of nothing or rather something out of sand. In case you didn’t know, melted sand becomes glass when it is heated at high temperatures and the final object that comes out of this printer is ultimately a glass sculpture.
