The inability to cross rough terrains has always been a cause for frustration amongst those with mobility issues. Now that the HexHog is here, things may change.
HexHog is capable of treading water, snow, sand, and mud. It is basically a 6-wheeled, joystick-controlled chair that features a patented flexing chassis for high-level stability.
The vehicle is equipped with a 36-volt lithium ion battery that has a top speed of 8.5mph, and a range of up to 12 miles on a single charge. The driving seat can be raised or lowered to a position for independent transfer from a wheelchair.
