A clip from the 1987 PBS program “The Ring of Truth: Atoms,” hosted by former MIT physics professor Philip Morrison. It shows an Asian chef preparing dragon’s beard candy to demonstrate the power of halving. He folds the dough twelve times, making 4096 strands. By folding it thirty more times, each strand would theoretically reach atomic thickness. VIDEO->
