A baby who got the Human Immunodeficiency Virus from her mother has been “cured” of the virus, scientists in the U.S. have announced. According to a report from Reuters, the virus was stopped in its tracks using early treatment of standard drugs used to treat the condition. This could pave the way to improving how infants born with HIV are treated in the future.
