Scientists at Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute unveiled at CeBIT a “mental typewriter” that enables the users to move a pointer on the screen by thoughts. By doing so, users can type sentences. The technology is in its very early stages but eventually researchers hope to make it possible for people with severe disabilities such as extensive paralysis, to communicate through computers.
