Andrew and Gabriella Morrison from Oregon decided to ditch their mortgage, and build a home that can go anywhere. Since both have backgrounds in construction, they came up with the idea of “hOMe”, a tiny modern home on wheels. “It took us four months to build and cost $22,000, $33,000 if we include the high end appliances, cabinetry, furniture, and fixtures. We are now debt free, off grid, joyful, closer as a family, and enjoying living our lives full time in hOMe,” said Mrs. Morrison. In addition to not having a mortgage payment, heating and cooling bills are significantly lower, due to the massive reduction in square footage to their home.
