This might be the largest airplane to every fly. A concept under development at Boeing’s Phantom Research might be the largest of all but is not going to set any altitude records. Called the Pellican it would have a crusing altitude of only 20 feet because it uses the concept of ground effect to get lift. This giant will have a wingspan of 150 meters and will be able to carry 1,400 tons compared to the current giant with 88 meters wingspan and can lift 250 tons.
