I don’t know if this is some kind of joke or a strange viral video attempt from Nokia but apparently they want you to use the power of lightning to charge your phone. They want the every day consumers to make use of nature’s force to charge their goods. This is beyond me, it must be a joke.
Nokia have partnered with the University of Southampton to unveil ground-breaking, proof-of-concept research into harnessing the power of lightning for personal use, an industry first that could potentially see consumers tap one of nature’s significant energy sources to charge their devices in a sustainable manner.
This experiment underlines Nokia’s 150-year commitment to innovation and delivering the most pioneering products to its customers. That the Nokia Lumia 925 could withstand this sort of experiment is testament to the renowned high quality and durability of Nokia’s devices and the company’s continuing research to increase the already outstanding reliability of its products.

This is so dumb, I had to log in to say just how dumb it is hahah. The cost to somehow connect a rod to extend past the tip of your house and safely conduct electricity to a charging port seems a little extreme for the “benefits”.
But.. Nokia did win. I forgot about their phones and now I have their product in my mind.. well played.
Yes, Nokia wants you to get electrocuted…so that they can get into the human burger business…
