David Suzuki speaks about world populations and how growth, is ultimately suicidal. Just some food for thoughts and new resolutions before the new year. As mentioned by reader Grant, Dr.Suzuki might be a little off scale so check out this documentary on overpopulation which is a lot more detailed.
Doesn’t that analogy make the assumption that none of the bacteria ever die? Don’t get me wrong, I agree in the argument that we are living on a biosphere with limited resources and need to do a much better job of managing those resources, but the analogy doesn’t seem to take into account death and the ebbs and flows of a typical population so the analogy is incomplete (flawed).
Ya, I agree, I think Suzuki is a little off. This analysis is much more accurate : https://hight3ch.com/the-truth-about-population-dont-panic-documentary/
