The White House has graciously thrown out a petition to build a “Death Star” saying that the Obama Administration does not take kindly to destroying other planets and that the costs of building one would be too high at an estimated $850 quadrillion. The response is for a petition posted last year on the White House website calling for construction by 2016 of a space combat station that has the capacity to destroy planets through a massive and super-powerful laser. The White House also asked: “Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?”
