The Divergent Blade Is Actually 3D-Printed and Faster Than a Ferrari

Supercars are something we are getting used to lately. And the Divergent Blade looks like yet another one at first. That is before you find out  it’s 3D-printed, and faster than a Ferrari 458 Italia to boot.

The vehicle is powered by a 700-horsepower bi-fuel engine – meaning it could be fueled with either petrol gasoline or compressed natural gas. And it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.2-seconds. By comparison, Ferrari 458 goes 0-60 mph in roughly 2.9 to 3 seconds.

The most special thing about the Divergent Blade, however, is its modular, 3D-printed chassis. This 1400-pound supercar is printed from aluminum nodes and aerospace carbon fiber rods.
