World’s Tallest Water Slide – 100 km/h

How high is too high for a water slide you may ask? Well this one seems to be starting up in the clouds. Verruckt means insane in German, and it is 17 stories high. It’s taller than Niagara Falls and the Statue of Liberty from toes to torch, as well as twice the height of the tallest wave ever surfed. The current record holder, 49.9m-tall ‘Kilimanjaro’, is located at Aguas Quentes Country Club in Rio de Janeiro, but Verrückt is going to be much taller than that. Exactly how much, we don’t know. You’ll need to climb a towering 264 stairs, and then, a specially designed raft will take you and three other riders plummeting down in speeds excess of 104km/h. This attraction is set to open in May 2014 at Schlitterbahn in Kansas City.
