The marine drone is an autonomous electric vehicle that collects plastic waste. The project, designed by industrial design student Elie Ahovi, could be used to clean the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Ahovi designed the marine drone after France-based environmental services firm Veolia asked students to think of ways to clean up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
